Ilma kolesteroolita ei suudaks rakud talitleda. Veres liigub kolesterool ringi rasvast ja valgust koosnevate lipoproteiinide vahendusel.<\/strong><br><br>Organismis olev kolesterool on p\u00e4rit peamiselt kahest allikast:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>70% sellest s\u00fcnteesitakse kehaomaselt (peamiselt&nbsp; maksas)&nbsp;<\/li><li>30% saadakse toidust&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Kolesterool jaguneb kaheks:<br><strong>\u201cHea\u201d kolesterool<\/strong> ehk HDL-kolesterool (HDL \u2013 inglise keeles <em>High Density Lipoprotein<\/em>, k\u00f5rge tihedusega lipoproteiin)<br><br><strong>\u201cHalb\u201d kolesterool<\/strong> ehk LDL-kolesterool (LDL \u2013 inglise keeles <em>Low Density Lipoprotein<\/em>, madala tihedusega lipoproteiin).<br><br><br>LDL transpordib 60-70% vere kolesteroolist. LDL-il on halb omadus kleepuda veresoonte seintele. Seet\u00f5ttu on LDL peamine ateroskleroosi ehk veresoonte lupjumise puhul esinev lipoproteiin ning selle k\u00f5rget taset veres peetakse s\u00fcdame- ja veresoonkonnahaiguste oluliseks riskifaktoriks.<br><br>HDL on k\u00f5ige v\u00e4iksem lipoproteiin ning transpordib 20-30% vere kolesteroolist. HDL seob liigse kolesterooli ning transpordib selle maksa, mille kaudu see \u00fcmber t\u00f6\u00f6deldakse v\u00f5i organismist v\u00e4lja viiakse. Seega erinevalt LDList eemaldab HDL vereringest kolesterooli. Kolesteroolita ei saaks organism eksisteerida. Kolesterooli peab olema vaid \u00f5iges koguses.&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>M\u00fc\u00fct: Ma ei tunne oma k\u00f5rget vere kolesteroolitaset. Need ei kao ka raviga. Ainsaks v\u00f5imaluseks on nende teket \u00e4ra hoida.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>M\u00fc\u00fct: Minu vere k\u00f5rge kolesteroolisisaldus on p\u00e4rilik.
